I just bought the game, and i installed it, downloaded the 1.3 patch, and tried to play it. no go. the game gave me an error saying " insert the proper cd ". i did in turn have cd 3 in the drive, but no game playing.
i phoned the dweebs at tech support, and all they could tell me was to download a cd crack. what is the dilly with that.
so i did it, and the single player works fine. now i tried to play multiplayer, and i get an error saying " detected cd emmulation software. close and restart the application ". the funny thing is, i don't have any emulation or virtual drives on my computer.
i even went to msconfig, disabled everything, tried again, and still the same error. even tried 6 different cd patches, nothing. has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Jeff,
I'm having your initial problem and been having this game several months now but can't play at all. It keeps telling me to insert correct cd eventhough I have inserted correct cd 3 to play. What is this cd crack as informed by tech support? Could you please give me the link where I can download it? If this works for me, at least I can start playing single player then. Btw I am also having exact similar problem with Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield. I don't know whats got to these two Ubi games. Fyi guys, I am able to play fine with SC Chaos Theory demo on my comp. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
