Thread: Invert camera desperately needed for HD SplinterCells Ubisolt... | Forums

  1. #1
....I forgave BG&E HD a little while back because its not a shooter really but i cant forgive ubisoft for not adding it in to Choas Thoery, i really cant.

Alot of you will say to yourselfs 'well when this game came out before you must of played it the way it was then' and you may be right i did but since then I played alot of games (and i mean ALOT) with the camera inverted because it was default so i simply got used to it, so what i cant understand is if Ubisoft went out there way to add 3D support and make a seperate option tab in the option screen, they could of easily add camera invert right?

Ubisoft, if you EVER read this thread PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEEASE add an option to change invert camera. You didnt do it for BG&E no matter how many complaints you got but can you add this option in Splinter Cell Collections please guys.

    Thanx.

Absolutely agree, I can't play shooters or most other games without the y-axis inverted. I've just wasted my money on these games now. Please ubisoft make an announcement on if / when this issue will be patched. I'm going to contact Sony about this, as I think customers should be notified in advance if there's no invert-y option. As it is, the games aren't 'fit-for-purpose' to me.

Its rediculous right? 2011 and they still release games without the simplist of options. WOW

I have purchased all three HD remakes on PSN and I too cannot adjust to the camera control. Please UBI, add an option to invert Y-axis in these otherwise fantastic games!

Yeah, it's crazy. I was really looking forward to playing them! If there isn't any word in a day or two on a patch, I'm going to ask Sony for a refund. If Ubisoft could code for 3d, you'd imagine they'd be able to add an invert-y option. I've played games with inverted-y for many years, and I can't swap back. I imagine non-inverted players would be gob-smacked if they were forced to play with upside-down controls, why should 'inverters' be over-looked.

You made a great point Mara, there'd be a total uproar if the game was inverted only wouldnt there.

Im embarressed for Ubisoft for a fact that Assassins Creed titles has inverted controls even Convictions does but a game you went back on to add 3D support doest?!

I need an answer from the Ubisoft team soon because im also gonna ask for a refund too i think.

I've send an email to Ubisoft about this and they quickly send a reply:

    Thank you for your feedback.
I will off course send this suggestion through to the appropriate channels.
We are always happy if customers do come out with idea's.
Games need idea's before you can develop them anyway.

I would like to advise you to post suggestions on the forums as well.
Developer do check the forums for suggestions and problems.

If you have any further queries or issues please do not hesitate to contact us again and we will assist you further.

    Kind Regards,
    Fred
    Ubisoft Technical Support.
Here's hoping they actually patch it in.

That reply looks like a copy and paste automated msg doesnt it.

"We are always happy if customers do come out with idea's.

    What?!

Its times like these that Bethesda and Valve are, and will always be the best devs in the biz.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I don't care if the patch will take a month or two, I just want a reply from them on this forum saying that they are working on it. I want their promise.

It be simply common courtesy and polite to just either say “I dont know” or even “I’ll let the team know” ATLEAST lol

But nothing. Its vert rude that we fork out money for these games at a time as hard as these and we get treated the way we do is crazy!

Amazingly rude... Ubisoft... this isnt looking good guys.

The reason why im not letting this go because i got shafted with BG&E, i waited for ages for a patch for that too and to this day still nothing. So i'll be damned if they decide to be silent again.

Over at the playstation Blog, International Product Manager, Akshay Paul shamfully dodged the question of why isnt there Y-axis invert from a few comments that he actually replied to.. i couldnt believe.. you guys need to see it for yourselfs: link
