I've just recieved the invite to Uru Live, and have downloaded all the updates, but i'm having trouble getting my Prime character into Live.
I've got to a window that lets me choose from creating a new character or uploading an existing one from single player, and i tick the box that says 'import progress from single player game' but it won't let me click ok! Please help, i would hate to have to start over for live and remake my avatar etc....

I've got the same problem. Just received my invite from Zandi five minutes ago and I also can not click OK on the import character option.

I just had an idea though...
I'm going to try to create a new character, but tick the box for importing progress. then make an avatar for the new character.
If i'm right, its only the avatar we have to redo, not the puzzles. i think

Good luck. I'd thought about that but am hestitant to try it. If your Relto Age is the same as you left it in Prime then it worked.

That's what I did, and it worked.

Yes, you have to specify the character name, gender, and everything on import.

Basically you're just importing game status, not what your character looks like... Otherwise my avvy would have blue skin.

My system handled the demo and prime fine, and I got my invite to Live today. Downloaded all the files, made the new avitar guy, went to Relto, and tried to link to the 'Live' area. The screen went black as usual, I got the loading bars at the bottom, (for authenticating, avitar update, etc.) and one final loading bar which filled to the end, but then just sat there. It would not link to the live area, although in time, the curser, when moved would show the side arrows as if my invisible avitar was able to move or look in various directions. Same results on a second try, black screen and a 100% filled grey load bar. Any thoughts?

On importing your old character:

After playing a while in Live today, the character I was playing with got "wiped" -- lost her books, customizations, everything. For reasons I won't go into I no longer had the single-player character I imported to create her... so I was a fresh character with no progress.

Wasn't THAT bad, I'd been meaning to replay the single-player game anyway to fix my tree and look into some things I missed on the first pass... but this time, when I got to the credits, I backed up my save files. Now if the server loses my character again I don't have to start from scratch. I'd recommend that to others too.
