Hey, not sure if it's on the news that Bush is already here, but today, while driving toward my friend's house in Miami, I saw a plane landing in MIA, like I so often do while in the area.

Except this time, it was the unusual sight of a HUGE 747 which isn't really used other than for international flights, which are much less common, but it was the paint job that caught my eye. From my vantage point, I can see a lot of details on such a large aircraft. First thing, the white and blue design of Air Force One, and the American flag on the tail instead of the usual airline logo.

I'm just describing it for you guys, it was close enough to where I'm 100% sure it was Air Force One, just think it was cool that I coincidentally was at the right position on the road to see it so clearly.

Guess the debates will be on promptly tomorrow at UM.

When Bush came to a Queens Firehouse back in Aug/04, I thought it was pretty cool since that was about four blocks from my old house were I lived since ariving to the US in '69, so I jumped in my car and drove down there but I Couldn't get close enough to see him

All the hype I hear about the debate tomorrow sounds like its going to be like a Night at the Fights. I hope Bush puts him on the ropes and pound him on all his contridictions. Im betting Kerry knocks himself out on the first round

I hope Kerry washes the tan off before the debate because he will look like a really tall Pumpkin

2 weeks ago i was driving up to northern illinois to... enjoy some friendly conversation... at my buddies frat party, and there were cops on top of every bridge within 10 miles of northern with binoculars, squadcars all over the toll booths... endid up that cheney was makin a speech there, i never was really close to so many people protesting and supporting something political like that...

although i didnt see Mr. Cheney's airplane

Well, the debates are not as impromptu as you might think. It's very planned and almost scripted, just the order of the answers they give are a little different than how they might rehearse it. But of course, it's a good way to find out about some of their views, and how they react to pressure.

In 2000, all the intellectuals and elitists would claim that Bush lost those debates. When in fact Bush got a spike in the polls and Gore experienced a dip after the debates, so Bush actually technically "won" those debates, despite how bad of a public speaker he is.

I think purely based on Bush's "likeability" factor that he might win these debates. People seem more comfortable with his face than Kerry's and you know how the people are, pretty superficial when it comes to things like this.

    Napalm Frog:
I saw a B2 at an airshow and saw one "parked" at an air-force air-field once. Obviously the fly-by at the airshow was more impressive, it did one low altitude pass at low speed with it's wings out, then made a wide banking turn out in the distance and did a high speed fly by with it's wings folded, it was pretty impressive. Too bad it's going bye bye along with a lot of other awesome aircraft such as the A-10

    Baldy:
I don't know, **** Cheney is a pretty scary guy, I don't think I'll be comfortable if I met him, lol.

Yet another typically useless remark by the "scrubster" that anyone could do without. Congrats on getting another useless post-count.

tyou do know that there is more than one plane painted to look like air force one right? on 9/11 a bunck of people saw a plane painted like air force one land at a millitary base not too far from my town. Some friends of ours wathed it go over thier heads. BUT it wasn't air force one becasue the president wasn't in it. It was simply a decoy plane.

Well, apparently there are two identical twin Boeing 747’s referred to as “Air Force Oneâ€Â, and the use of one as a decoy (as Matrix highlighted) has been done on many different occasions. Matter of fact, I was once watching a live broadcast on TV where President Bush was supposed to land in California. I think it may have been that time when he landed in San Diego prior to taking that smaller aircraft out to the carrier Abraham Lincoln for the now much talked about “mission accomplished†speech. Anyway, if my recollection is correct about 30-40 minutes prior to actually seeing the President land and exit the craft, an identical plane hit the runway where dozens of support staff etc. spilled out onto the tarmac. It was pretty hilarious because the crowd that had gathered was getting so excited only to be disappointed when W was nowhere to be seen.
