Thread: Necro first mission, rescue Jorgen *spoilers* | Forums

I've just done that mission then.
I expected Salvatore to be the last battle as well so I didn't pay as careful attention to managing losses as I could have.
Overall there were 245 Radiant Glory and 95 Blazing Glory.
I walked in and saw it and instantly went 'bugger this, gonna need cheat codes' but gave it a go anyway. Came out losing ~250 out of 400 Skeles, 40 out of 220 Ghosts and about 5 out of 240 Ghouls

Weirdly I ended up getting 103% Expertise for the map. Usually I get around 97% and I assumed it only went to 100, is it something to do with Necromancy?

the only thing i found about his map. was the fact that i found all of the mass graves and when i right clicked them all it said i had visited them all, however on one there was no cutscene/text/message and it didnt count, so i never managed to finish that secondary quest.

I just finished this scenario, and that last fight I came out of with zero losses vs. about 200 Glories and 50 or so Blazing Glories.

I specced for Life Drain and Mass Life Drain, as well as putting Storm Arrows on the Skellies and the occasional Disruption to drop their defense. I also discovered that the healing from the Ghosts/Specters is stronger than one might think, especially when they are present in numbers, so I tended to wait a turn or two before using one of their two heals. I also made sure to use it while the Ghouls were in melee, for that extra handful of kills.

Life Drain on a hard-hitting melee stack is INSANE. I was getting back 10-15 Ghouls per strike, which, coupled with Necromancy spam and the occasional heal from the Specters (in hindsight I should have split them into 2-3 stacks for better coverage), let them just keep on killing with no losses. Had to heal the Specters twice and the Skellies once, due to initiative issues letting the opposition get additional strikes.

Storm Arrows is pretty good too, the Skellies were killing (most of) a stack per volley which took a goodly bit of pressure off the Ghouls.

He is in the underground, whose entrance is located by the last human castle you conquer.

Life Drain, or any other buff for that matter, is useless against glories., , except for storm arrows for the skeletons since they can't get to it anyway.

glories will just dispel your buffs. and since undead arent affected by morale, you can only use life drain for 1 hit!
