Thread: Heli hovers forever at beginning of the strip, v1.06 | Forums

    Trying to give this buggy mess another chance in SP, but cant progress to "the strip". The Heli your on hovers endlessly over Vegas. Contstant equipmet "e" prompt on screen. You can go in to outfit your equipment all you want, things move, whatshername types on her laptop, traffic moves on the street, heli make noise. The game isn't locked up. It just sits there. I went away from my PC for 1/2 an hour and it was still hovering over Vegas. WTH ?
    PC, patched to 1.06. Pretty lame if I cant play the Vegas portion of the game. The prelude ran fine at over 90FPS, no issues(miracle of miracles). THIS IS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE, so don't even try to tell me it's my rig.

    Did you try pressing the spacebar?

    Baddadam cha...

    Seriously though, the whirly bird isn't going to go anywhere till you get out...

    If you can't get out, that's a different matter... possibly a corrupted file on installation? Try doing a clean reinstall... And update manually, using download links found in the USEFUL LINKS THREAD, 1.05 1ST, THEN 1.06...

    Cant get out. Happens right at the very beginning of the level. Scene fades in, chopper doesn't go anywhere. No buttons work except "E"

    That's a strage one... Anyone else heard of this before? I haven't... All I can think of is to try re-installing like I said earlier...

    What's your spec? Proabably won't help, but you never know...

    Re-install with 1.05 then 1.06 did it. works now.
    Very weird.
