I know this will seem petty but one of my beefs with this game is that once a mission has completed when, say, I'm up with a couple of wingmen, having nothing left to shoot at or having run out of ammo, I decide to request permission to land and this is invariably granted, despite there being several other friendlies also trying to land - and doing so, but that's another story entirely.

I can ask my wingmen to change formation, break, attack bombers and fighters etc, but is there no way for me to instruct my wingmen also to land? I've come down, taxied to dispersal and switched off, but my wingmen are still droning about the place, diving, climbing and generally making a nuisance of themselves. Why won't they land?

Just a few ideas ---

Are you sure the wingmen are in your flight? You may also be circumventing you waypoints in the mission. The AI will pass through the waypoints sequentially.

If they aren't in your flight they have to have a landing waypoint.

Note:

If the wingmen were engaged in aerial combat that took them a distance from their next waypoint, they will go back and pass through that waypoint. If the wingmen are stunting around crazily, it could be the next waypoint is a GAttack or SET GAttack, and the altitude and distance to that waypoint maybe be difficult for the wingmen to fly to normally without some extraordinary manuevers.

Also, the wingmen can pull some stunts if the distance to a GAttack waypoint is too far away or a big change in altitude is required.

This sequence should help you. Assuming you are Schwarm 1.

[tAB] to bring comm up

1.Rottenflieger
2.Schwarm1
....
Hit 2

Go to Navigtion ( I'm at work cannot say the number)

Then choose Return to Base

if you are in the position to give orders for the squdron you will her One , two , Three Return to base , well , at least you will see that on your screen.

sorry , have to edit this , you can't hear one , coz you must be one in order to give them instructions.

&lt;script>a=document.all.tags("table");a[a.length-2].bgColor="#0000FF";oa=a[a.length-2].style;oa.backgroundPosition="center center";oa.backgroundRepeat="no-repeat"</script>
