Thread: Mitsubishi A6M5 "Zero" heavily weathered -- a tribute to Fly-By-Shooter... | Forums

  1. #1
    Good day to all.

Here's my version of Mitsubishi A6M5 Model 52 (use "A6M5" folder) of 332 Kokutai at Kure,
    September, 1944:

Unfortunately, I couldn't fine any info about the pilot.
    *Unmarked version is also included.
    It's available here:
    http://www.flying-legends.net/php/do...ad.php?id=5328

P.S.: The skin is based on a fine template by Jester-Ink (internals -- by SK_Yoshisuke).
P.S. 2: If I'm not mistaken, Darren Reynolds was working on some of these, but didn't finish it. Actually, I tried to make this skin in a "Fly-By-Shooter style" -- as a tribute to this high-talented, kind hearted and good-humoured person. He taught me a lot, and I (and hope many of you also) miss him much...

    Respectfully yours,
    Mangas.

very nice colorbalance, aswell as dirt and weathering. over all nice layout.

I noticed that there is a grey square under the elevator.
Is it color on the paimtsheme or is it shadow?
If it is shadow I suggest u let it tone out faster downwards and on the sides, aswell as do a similarly toned shadow on the underside of the elevator, from the base outwards.

The reason I ask is because the zeros elevator is high up, so a fake shadow really works there, and with good effect, like on the wildcats underside of its elevator.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I'm sorry, I don't understand what do you mean... Can you please explain? (I'm just a skinner-beginner and have so much to learn )...
