what pieces is it unlocking? | Forums

every few rated games that i win it tells me i have unlocked a new chess set... some of them i can see but some of them aren't even in my list to unlock? I have downloaded the extra ones too. anyone had this before?

They should all be there from the start, but you should only be able to play with a few of the boards (until you unlock them of course).

Are you sure they aren't in the list? I certainly did not encounter this problem.

Yes. I know it sounds weird. At first I thought it was just me, but for example the last chess set I unlocked was Bleu or something of a similar French sounding name. Nothing in my list is that. This has happened three times now.

If the unlocked stuff was "Black & White" or "Blue" it referred to skins, not chess sets...

MCesio: Every once in a while it unlocks a new skin instead of a new board. You should have ~38 chess sets (I'm not sure because I've downloaded some new ones). If you go to Preferences -> Skin... it brings up a selection of different visual styles for the Chessmaster window. It might have been unlocking those.
