Thread: Rayman M: The Annoying Poplopois | Forums

  1. #1
Yeah, I'm stuck on Zenith Harbour in Popolopoi mode. I try my best strategy (hitting almost every Popolopoi in a single lap to get a massive amount of time), but I always run out of time!

So if anyone is able to help me out here...

Haha, that's a great level to play. Maybe there are some shortcuts in the level that you're unaware of. You can tag away from the main track for pretty much the whole lap if you know your way around.

Personally I found Treasure Ship harder. ^^

Yeah, I got past it now. I watched a video on Youtube and figured out pretty much the only way to win is by getting to know all the shortcuts in the track.

The Lums Mode of the same level was surpisingly easy. I didn't have to worry about my opponent. I just ran around collecting all the Lums. Finished it on my very first try without any problems.

On Treasure Ship, I found Popolopoi to be slightly easier, but Lums Mode to be much harder. But I've just got past both them ones as well now. Just got to finish the Extreme League and Bonus League now and I've finished the game.

Thanks for your help, by the way.

It's interesting to find different players' weaknesses. For me, I spent weeks trying to crack Popolopoi Mode in Treasure Ship and didn't have any problems at all in Lums Mode. It could be because I always buckled at the beginning, with the confusing switches and alternating platforms.

I wonder, have you tried Speed Stress yet? That was the single toughest challenge I think I've ever undergone in any game.

Not yet. So far I've finished all four of the Normal Leagues. Just got to finish the Bonus League and then I'm done. Only problem is, I'm stuck on the level On and On (the one where you have to race a lap in EVERY single normal track in the entire game in a limited amount of time). Pretty nasty level, and I bet anyone would agree with me.

    What's Speed Stress like?

I don't agree that On and On is nasty, actually. After you've completed the first few races the rest should be easy, as every round you accumulate more and more seconds. I remember creating a video displaying a record time (for me at least) in First Ruins, but I think I've deleted it now.

As for Speed Stress, it involves super-fast reaction time. Plus your fingers are dead after!

What platform do you play on, anyway? PS2?

Yeah, I've got the PS2 version, which is the one I always play on. But I have the PC version as well (I got it with Rayman 10th Anniversary). I don't really plan to try and complete that one though because the controls make the game harder than it already is, and I really can't be bothered to go through the same game all over again. I'll probably just use cheats, if they have any for the PC version.

Also, what's with this music mode that's on the pause menu? I've tried it out, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Music Mode? Hmm, doesn't ring any bells. Where did it appear?

By the way, make sure you let me know how you get on with Speed Stress when you get round to playing it. I'd love to hear from someone who shares the same burden!

If you pause the game on the races, there should be an option called 'Music Mode' or something like that.

By the way, what characters do you like playing as the most? I like playing as Rayman, because controlling him feels pretty average and easy, and the Teensies because I love the way they roll around and help each other out with their moves.

Love the teensies the most, because of the way they are squabbling and whatnot, and the Henchman 1000 is cool too.
