Has any1 yet to play this game?
I must say, when I 1st played Stranglehold the Demo, I thought it too be much and even more so like that of Max Payne. And in some aspects I have to say that it is, the game gives you a Bullet - Time esqe feel, or Tequila Time.
There is a Precision Aim, and it is really fun, what happens is you sort of go into slow mo ala Tequile Time, and you ai'm right on the guy using the LT, and its pretty cool b/c if you hit the guy anywhere major like say his head, or his arm, that part of the body will be affected and you'll see him act that way when he goes flying and dies.
And there is also Standoff mode or time, for me it wasn't quite fun, it was more like a challenge or a mini-game, b/c all you do is dodge bullets, and shoot back at the guy, while just standing there.
Everything else I must say is looking for the most part well, When Tequila goes to the bar and drinks some Tequila, his glass and water look really real, and the environments are really destructable.
    Any1 else try it yet?

True. I loved this demo. It was very much in resemblance of Max Payne. Even better though. The true interactive environment was what really amazed me. Everything is destructable and or can be used. It's theatrical gameplay is some of the best I've seen as well. Never really slows down the game. Easily the best demo I have seen. I will be looking forward to this game. John Woo is the man. Midway is looking good in this one.
*It's not the players in the game. It's the game in the players.*

I'll probably grab this demo tonight and give it a try. From the trailers I've seen it looked pretty good.

I liked it. It was very stylish, with the butterflies and cranes, and fun to shoot stuff up. I wonder though if it's going to be annoying after a while to be sliding around on every object that's higher than two feet.

This demo was cool. I really enjoyed it as it played like Max Payne. It was just overall fun and that precision shot action was pretty brutal. I tried shooting at different parts of the body and the reactions are awesome.

I played it and thought it was kind of cool. It is very Max Pain like with the Tequila time, and very John Woo like with the 1000 bullets shot before someone gets hit. Shoot someone in the nads. The face they make is priceless.

The PS3 version of Strangehold is supposed to have a Blu-Ray version of Hard Boiled right on the disk. I think that's an awesome way to sell the game to PS3 owners.

    Too bad I don't have a PS3 and can't afford one.

I might sell a kidney (seriously who needs two of those things).

Blu-Ray doesn't automatically mean better anything really but it can hold a lot more data. A regular DVD (what 360 uses) holds around 9 gigs for dual layers and a Blu-Ray disk can hold as much as 50 gigs dual layered. What this means for gaming is that developers can put more data on the disk, so they can have things such as more complex textures, more voice data, more areas etc.

A Blu-Ray game can definitely look better but it's hampered by the system. Since it's still reading the data off an optical disk, load times will sky-rocket once devs start filling up the disk.

So in short, more storage CAN equal better graphics but it's definitely not a given. It's always up to the developers if they wanna fill up the extra storage with better graphical assets.
