Hi everyone. I wish to know if there is a way to pausse a tutorial as it is running. Reason: some, like "Opening Traps by Christian XYZ.tut" can run too fast for beginners like me. I'd like to pause and study the moves/position then move on. I've tried to copy this tutorial and another (Opening Traps II by c1arinetboy.tut)to the Training mode so as to print out the PGN but that does not work (perhaps because these two tutorials contain more than one game?). So, is there a way to pause a tutorial and/or copy the PGN?

    Thanks for any assistance.

in the game status window, there are buttons like the ones on a music set: play, pause, "previous track", etc.

hit the pause button there if you want to pause a tutorial.

Thanks diskamyl but one cannot run a tutorial in the training mode or setup position mode where the game status window appears. There is no game status window in the tutorial mode, hence one cannot pause the tutorial.

oh my... this is just PATHETIC. there WAS a pausing option for tutorials in CM10. it would be just bad enough to make no improvements, but they actually have made cm10 worse.

you're right, it's not possbile to pause tutorials anymore, sorry. there's one thing you can do though, it's not probably exactly what you want, but when you switch to another window, out of CM, like "my computer" for example, the tutorial automatically stops. that can give you some time to analyze the position on the board.

I just switched to CMXI also, and it is ridiculous that they took the ability to pause the tutorials out. There is one work around I did find that seems to work well enough at least. Make sure in the "Windows" drop down menu the "Shortucut Bar" is selected. On the bottom right corner you will see the different options one of them is "Watch another tutorial", if you click on this it will take you to the tutorial menu and pause the board at the exact position the tutorial was already in. To continue you simply select the tutorial you were just watching and it should continue around the same place you left off. If you have flipped the board you will have to flip it again. Not an Ideal fix but it works. Hope this helps someone who's frustrated by this "new feature"
