Not sure how recent some of these departures/firings took place (not all in only the last few weeks obviously) but definitly not good news indeed, especially since they are about to release 2 main games in the near future (i.e. RS:Vegas and Assasin's Creed). I for one did not see this coming, thinking that all was well at the Montreal studio (of all places especially). I'm pretty sure that this will only result in minute structural management and won't be too threatning to the creativity of new IP games in the near future as well as the progression of current games. Stay strong my brotha's .

I confirm that the amount of people in the company is always rising. I'm seeing new people on a weekly basis. This will not affect in any way the major brand in developpement now. The whole industry is suffering from a lack of efficient ressource and this is not only at Ubisoft Mtl. Next-gen required more people that can do the job on one single game, therefore, Ubisoft is always looking for new talent! Submit your resume artist!!

I wouldn't worry too much, there are thousands of people working in development at Ubisoft (at last count I think it was like 2,800) and there are always people and leaving the business. It's not unusual for a few people here and there to leave mid-way through a project, it rarely effects development either.

    So stop panicing

Lol, I don't believe I gave the impression that I was panicing. Infact, I said that, "this will only result in MINUTE strucutral management and WON'T be too threatning to the creativity of new IP games in the near future as well as the progression of current games". Still, one can only wonder the reason behind some of these departures as it would be a dream come true for me to work there... (bet EA offered them a better salary , grr....)

Just to reinforce my first opinion on the needs of efficient staff, I added this link of the newly created website for recruitment at Ubisoft
