Australian Silver edition - HoMM5 + HoF what patch? | Forums

Hi

I Installed HoMM 5 and then the HoF and started playing the single player campaign. The load screen tells me I'm playing version 1.0. I would have thought that they would have included the patch in the HoF install. So I open the .exe - it's running English (United States).

So I download the US version of the patch.

All 110 MB on Dial up. Then when I try to patch I get told that HoMM isn't installed?

What patch do I need? There is no Australian patch - but there are Australian Players who deserve support.

Go to start, run type regedit, press enter
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V (may differ).
There it should write which version of the game you have.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Did you use the install/play disk for H.o.F. in order to play the 2.0 version of HoMM5:H.o.F. and, by using its own Icon placed onto the Desktop's main window?

BTW, patch 1.4 is only applied to version 1.0 of HoMM5 before installing H.o.F.. This patch is a standalone containing all three(3)previous patches and, should have been over 200Mb of a zipped download. Try to get yourself a cable-broadband's internet connection, you'll need it for online multiplayer.
