C'mon UBI, quit holding us in suspense. Info on the PC version would be greatly appreciated.
Not only that but how about making apparent your use of StarForce on your products in plain sight on the boxes before I waste anymore money on your games. Several games with that crappy copy protection ( several of yours as well) have cuased nothing but issues with my computer system. PC gamer had a write up about this last month matter of fact. It is sad honestly I have been a long time supporter of your games and own many along with a few new ones that I cannot play, cannot return, cannot get my money back from because of this crappy StarForce you use.
I also have a $4,500.00 gaming machine and have built several PC's over the years so i am not PC Iliterate either. Many people have had issues with StarForce not just me. I assume this game is no different and it is your responsibility to foreworn your customers ahead of time as the web is full of information on this copy protect software and many, many people have had issues, even the Vede at PC Gamer!
Release date in USA is the 28th i got it ordered and will get it on the 28th of march
))
Hi ,Ive got my copy pre ordered,but cant find no info on the web about the pc version,or about a definite release date ,for the uk,cant UBi give us a bit of info ???
ssssssssss
Plain as day, this product is protected by StarForce. It was a decision to do this made by a higher authority than those on the dev team. In defense of StarForce, their methods and drivers have improved significantly by every week they exist and most of the original problems experienced by a small number of users have been quashed.Originally posted by oneeyered:

Also, straight from the readme.txt:
Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII uses Starforce security technology. The Starforce drivers will be installed with the game and will also be uninstalled together with the game.
Note: When you uninstall Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII you will also uninstall the Starforce protection drivers.

Wow Mr Polecat. What a pleasure to see a designer from romania. One small question, actually 2:
1. Did u really worked on Blazing Angels?
2. Oneeyered, as everyone else, knows very well the fact that ubi uses StarForce, so your conclusion about the fact that BA is using StarForce is well appreciated (actually not). The ideea is that Star Force ****s up a lot of systems and Ubi should do everything to either change the protect system or to just take it out...cause anyway...the game is already hacked and present on several torrents...
A conclusion of my own...u're a designer...stick to that and leave PR to who is paid for that![]()
I can't take any credit for that game at all, I was hired at this studio just in time to do a whole lot of "not much" for this game. I did get a chance to put in the placeholder voices before we shipped it off to get the real voice actors in...but that was about 30 minutes of work.Originally posted by Bingabongo:

I was tasked to do this while the Blazing Angels team takes a well-deserved week long vacation.
On a personal note, I hope the marketing success of games like Galactic Civilizations II shows just what the impact of copy protection schemes are on the bottom line...2. I know in the design department we are all avid gamers first and foremost, and we prefer that the fruits of our labors are enjoyed by as many fellow gamers as possible. So I'll stick to designing games, you promise to be a good consumer and buy everything I make...mmmkay?![]()
