Thanx DOC!
Yeah...I've been playing the multiplayer beta anytime I can. Its great!![]()
Atlantis you dog!!!
That was a limited beta wasnt it?? ( im so jealous)
So what did ya think? Should I stop holding my breath for RS-4?
The biggest criticism I heard of SWAT4 was that the speed of the characters was a bit too slow (the walking speed)...that didnt seem like much to B about to me.
The walking speed is perfect. They are moving slow and deliberately, keeping a stable gun platform at all times. I wish there was a sprint option where you can't shoot for those 'oh-shoot' moments when you are caught in the open. A double tap of the movement key for a quick duck/run would be great.
Lot's of less than leathal options and the animations are great.
Only thing missing from the beta is the ballistics, so you can't shoot through objects yet.

You can shoot through doors, glass, and curtains.![]()
Yes, but the poster boards in the lobby and other things are not penatrable. On the SWAT4 forum one of the devs stated that they have not implimented full ballistics in the beta yet. In SWAT3 every object has a penitration value. A drywall wall is benitrable in SWAT3 and I believe they are bring this to SWAT4. Cover vs concealment is huge and SWAT is the only game that really forces you to consider what you are hiding behind.

I believe Hidden and Dangerous 2 had that too.![]()
So, if your teammate stupidly steps in your line of fire and you kill him, does the rest of your teammates ignore the enemy, turn around, and start shooting you? Like in SWAT 3?
