Thread: il-2: 1946 Graphics problem | Forums

  1. #1
So I bought il-2: 1946, and everything went well until i started playing. The graphics were very bad, although i changed them to excellent and resolution higher, from the menu. Still every plane has very rough silhouette. It's like from freaking Wolf 3d!

I tried updating the game and my graphic card's driver, but it didn't work, the game is still very blurry.

Sorry if this is a common problem, and there are many threads about this, but i didn't find any on the first glance.

    My computer is:
    Windows XP home
    Radeon x1950pro
    AMD 3500+
    1024mb

Hope you understand me, and my English.

Try going into CCC and setting 4xAA and 4xAF.
"The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.[Europe], under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep. If once [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves. " - Thomas Jefferson

Using the Catalyst 7.10 drivers, here is my set-up:
    Anti-Aliasing: 4x Anisotropic Filtering: 8x
(Use Application settings is unchecked in last two) Tempoaral AA is Un-checked, High Quality AF is Checked.
Catalyst AI is Enabled and set to Advanced.
MipMap Detail is at High Quality
Vertical Refresh is 'On, unless application specifies'.
Enable Adaptive Anti-aliasing is Checked, on, and I am using Multi-sampling set at Smooth. Super-sampling also works (set at Quality)

Under More settings I have Triple Buffering Enabled (because V-synch is On, but note that I'm using a CRT monitor.)

I'm running a x2 4600 with 2Gb memory on XP Pro - but the above settings might be a good place to start
