The RAF Tornado F3 is a 2 crew, variable geometry wing aircraft and is powered by 2 RB 1999 Mk 104 afterburning turbofans, fitted with thrust-reversers for STOL (short take-off and landing) operations. The aircraft carries 4 Sky Flash (heard the name before) radar guided medium range missiles, 4 sidewinders heat-seeking missiles and is fitted with a 27mm cannon. An upgrade has been announced which will allow the Tornado F3 to carry 4 AIM-120 AMRAAM active radar missiles and 4 ASRAAM heat-seeking missiles. The advanced AI-24 (Foxhunter) radar gives the aircraft an all weather, day and night capability and allows enemy aircraft to be engaged beyond visual range.

I can't say much concerning the Tornado, I was an armorer on the A-10 for quite a few years.
I also spent most of my time during beta testing checking it out, thus the answers on the
Warthog in your other thread.

I do know that the missions that came with have the GR3 primarily, as the Falcon and the Eagle
are much better suited for the Air to Air role than the Tornado variants...
