Just as a little fun i want to see idea of what a modern equal to a unit

same or differant faction,
but we got to have isral, they got some good equpment of their own
other factions
USA
Britain
China
Japan
Europe,this will be all main Euopen country, Italy, Gremany, and Franch since they share a lot of the same stuff
* france could also be seperate

UK are part of the EU you know and putting a load of EU countries as one faction is stupid.

Also they dont share the same equipment the only thing that i know they share is the Eurofighter Typhoon and the UK uses that to.

Examples:

UK MBT= Challenger 2
France MBT= Leclerc
German MBT= Leopard
Italian MBT= Ariete

Rifles

UK = SA80
France = FAMAS
Germany = G36C (think that may be wrong)

Attack helicopters

UK = Apahce AH-1
Germany = Eurocopter Tiger
France = Eurocopter Tiger

there are huge differences in the equipment that EU countries use.

The modern day equivalent of the Ha-Go would be a cardboard box with a slingshot with taped wheels.

I don't know that much about the military or its vehicles but a few that would be obvious would be
M1 Abrams tank
Bradley fighting vehicle
humvee

A couple of good things that could be added are,
Apache helicopters
transport helicopters, unarmed, faster than traveling by ground

I think attach heli would be good but not transport for these reasons.

troops would travel in a humvee when not in comabt like they travel in trucks now and there is no transport units on the game.

a heli like a chinhook could be using as like a paratrooper when it flies from base with a group of lets say spec ops and then drops them off at the chosen point then flys off.

a heli like a black hawk could used as a type of armoured transport with a guy that only damages infantry and vehicle armoured things but it flies and is fast.

there could also be a un armoured recon from air base that would be one of those drones

and a ground un armoured recon could be humvee or other jeep with no gun

ground armoured would be an armoured car like a mastiff or somthing else.

It's called End War!

Seriously I know that this game is basically like glorified chess pieces, but to add a modern warfare element to the game would either ruin it or the entire game would have to be reworked.
Because of the technological advances since WW2 there are many more aspects to warfare then there were back then. Now if they wanted to simplify Modern Warfare some so that it can fit in to the aspects of this game I wouldn't really care but you know that there are ppl who would go nuts saying that "in real life you can do this or that".

It's for a RUSE 2 you know. I'm sure the developers are working on a modern warfare one since it's the most demanded, but I'd prefer Cold War conflict ones since that would be more fitting, like the Six Day War where Israel single-handedly crushed every one of its neighbors and their supporters who were as far away as Saudi Arabia and Morocco (basically all of North Africa and all Arab nations) which was all pure tactical genius and taking advantage of every mistake the enemy has done, the biggest one being bombing the Egyptian air fields which had little protection for their planes (they were preparing for a surprise attack but the Soviets told them the US and Israeli's knew so they weren't prepared, coincidentally Israel had the surprise attack), then crushed the remaining air forces attacking them, and pretty soon they were gaining land, this was most embarrassing thing to happen to a Coalition of nations since Italy.

Not to mention there's MANY wars to choose from that are not guerilla oriented. The main problem though is the publicity it could get, well not really since there are alot of games about fighting Russia, Russia doesn't care, in Black Ops you could play as Castro or kill a imposter (which the Cuban government protested but ultimately nothing happened since in the US you get bonus points for that).

Not to mention you could add so many more factors into the game! You could have the Korean War which like Castro in Black Ops has shown doesn't make a difference, where you have UN and Chinese forces, you could have the USSR etc. there's so much that can be done. Best part is that you can also add the Korean war and Six Days War to the current game since much of the same technology is used like the same bombers same tanks same guns for BOTH sides since the Communist forces got Soviet weapons.

Endwar is not like RUSE at all
uints are organised into squads
and the odjectives are more like GO, not chess

ok back on topic
yes the wapons will be very differant that is one reason i made this dissutions

people will have to account for missles, jets helio's and a varity of other tech

i have plenty ideas of my own, i just want to see your ideas.

to bad endwar was a pretty bad game where you could camp and people did with transports choppers and arty.
