HELP ME! problem with combination of shield and sword | Forums

hey guys, as we all know your first sword is a short sword

The strongest sword in my inventory is now the disciple sword, the problem is that when I switch to a shield, it automatically combines with a short sword and not with my disciple sword.

If I want to use my disciple sword in combination with a shield, I need to select the sword first and the shield second, this takes too much time if I'm in combat. Does anyone have a solution or a way too automaticcaly let shields combine with the strongest sword in my inventory?

I always have my strongest weapon equiped so i dont have to worry about that, but ive had some rough times when i have to change weapons then equip the shield :P

Yea simple, drop all of the weaker ones.

I tried this already, but what happens is that if I select my shield, no sword at all is combined with it so I still have to pick the sword first and shield second

Guess you'll have to live with it as mine had exactly same problem. I also had a bug that made my shield's hp to some negative number, and I couldn't get rid of it from my stash. It was just sitting there, wasting my stash spaces.
Other bugs were having unlimited adrenaline and mana, still having a sword in chapter 7 when Sareth's stash should be stolen, and crashing when equipped, getting stuck in the wall while on the rope...etc...etc...

The real problems occur once you find the rope bow. Once you have that, 'activating' the shield doesn't work at all (at least not for me), you have to then get out your sword THEN your shield. Was an utter pain in the a**.

I think it started doing that way before I got my rope bow...and I didn't have problem activating my shield either..just my sword didn't show up..

At least you have it paired with a short sword. Mine always comes up with the forge hammer.
