Thread: Shooting While Taking Cover | Forums

  1. #1
New to this game and new to Xbox live as well. Had a question. How are people so accurate with their shots when they take cover and shoot opponents? When I do the same thing, I have my site set on the target, but it takes multiple shots to bring the man down. I notice other players usually shoot the man down in one shot. Is their a secret? Thanks

The secret you ask? Aim for the head If you shoot your opponent in the head he/she will go down in one shot.

Like Mr. Hanky said, welcome to the forums. But there is one other thing that he didnt mention. Make sure you are actually out andaiming from thecover, not just sticking the weapon out and blind-firing. It is a lot more risky, never do it while under fire, but it should save ammo and time if you do it right and dont get drilled yourself.

Thanks for the reply. I have the aim set on my target, but it seems like I don't kill the target without spraying a bunch of shots. Maybe it's the gun I manily use....the Famas and the MTAR. Thanks

FAMAS AND MTAR are IMO the best weapons in the game and they're probably the most used. i think your problem might be is that your not burst firing. If you shoot in controlled, short bursts you'll find it a lot easier to get a head shot. When you come into a face off with an enemy at medium range don't empty the clip just aim the reticule at the head and gently tap the trigger on the 360 controller. If your doing it right you should be firirng about 3 rounds each burst.

    Hope that helps.

Also, take advantage of the 3rd person view and aim before you pop out. Normally when you move or turn, it takes a short time for them to "recenter" to the point where you have the best accuracy. But popping out from cover doesn't count as moving and doesn't affect accuracy at all. You just need to remember where the center of the crosshairs is when you're in cover because it disappears. But if you can put that spot over an enemy while you're in cover, it'll still be on them when you pop out.

Or you could just do the easy thing, and hold the right bumper down, which creates a circle, and put the circle right on their head. Pop out, shoot once, get back in. Only need one shot.
