I've showed you mine, now you show me yours. I like answering all the questions people have about the things on my list. But it feels a little one-sided.

I would like to know at least 10 to 25 interesting things about the people in this community.

It took me two days to come up with my list. Take your time, I want to know some really cool stuff, really weird stuff, and unique stuff that makes you, you.

Like this hasn't gotten me in trouble before.

Hokay, I'm too lazy to make it as visually stimulating as yours as well as to make it up to 25. So here's my 10:

    1. I consider both Oregon and Florida to be my home.

    2. I cannot get a brain freeze.

    3. I don't get sunburned.

    4. My brother and I are "Irish twins" (we were born 357 days apart).

    5. I've traveled to and explored 49 of the 50 United States. I don't count Hawaii as number 50 because my only visit to the state was for my plane to briefly refuel on its way to Asia.

    6. I am half filipino, and my mom is an immigrant from the Philippines.

    7. I have visited the Philippines twice before I reached the 3rd grade.

    8. In elementary school, I tested into the Gifted program. However, as a sign of my slacker qualities, I was the only Gifted student to not participate in either the Safety Patrol or the Manatees (a group of students that produced the morning announcement broadcasts).

    9. After becoming an avid fan of the Buried Life guys, I have compiled my own growing list of things to do before I die.

    10. I consider my coming-of-age to be when I skydived at 18. I was following in the footsteps of my sister and Dad who both jump regularly.

Haha my older brother and I are "Irish twins" as well. He is only 327 days older, and we look very similar too.

I'll make a list as well, but it will look very boring next to Spectra's. Lol!!

Haha no. He's a man version of me. We both have square faces and Native American eyes. Which is why we always had to be the Indians when we did Thanksgiving plays at nursing homes as kids. Haha! We used to be super tanned too, but somehow we turned pale in our adulthood.

I was a year ahead in school and went to college the same he did, and we got asked if we were twins like every day. haha!

What's funny is that our younger brother is totally different. He's so blonde that his hair is almost white, and he has bright blue eyes. His Native American genes must have stayed hidden, because he looks very Dutch. Lol!

#2 How is it that you don't get brain freeze?!?!? Maybe you just haven't tried hard enough.

#5 is no small feat. That is amazing. I hope to one day have that claim as well.

#7 Where in the Philippines is your mom from? Do you still have family there? Any plans to visit?

#10 that is something I will never do.

I'm pretty I've tried my hardest. I can't chew ice cause I have sensitive teeth, but I regularly chug the large, 40 oz. Slurpees (under two minutes if I want) for my friends. I like to bet them that I can beat them in a race.

I think you should try to do with your son (or kids, if you have more) what my grandparents did with my siblings and I. We spent a month every summer on a trip in some direction out of Florida with our popup camper (though, a week or two might be more feasible with working parents). We would spend the majority of the time visiting the various National Parks, Civil War battlefields, etc., in the states we crossed. The U.S. National Parks really are the best way, in my opinion, to experience the diversity that the regions of our country have to offer. I'm definitely going to have to do the same with any kids I have when I'm older.

She is from Camiguin Island. I with 12 or 13 Aunts and Uncles, and god knows how many kids for each of them, I can't begin to count how many cousins I have. I just assume anyone that is excited to see me over there is a relative.

What you could try is indoor skydiving. They use the vertical wind tunnels, so you just hover in the air as if you were falling from the skydive. The sensation is life changing!

Thanks to Phin for the sig!
