Ahoy
i have made several single mission maps with no problems.
I now would like to have a anti-sub mine field. I know how to set up mine field's with good density for surface ships to hit, but
I need to know how to make set up the mine at dfferent leveral [layers] for anti subs mission.
Some at -1 feet and some mines go down to the bottom of the bay. All at different layers.
These are the setting for surface ship mines:
Density [Units/SQ.KM] 100 can be set to any number you want.
Height [M] ? Tried everything ?
Min height [M] -1foot is for surface ships mines.
Max height [M] ? Tried Everything ?
Thx you, In advance for any help given.

The heights are in meters, actually since a -5 is deep enough that DDs won't hit it.

How will us Skippers be able to detect mines? Which 'pinger' would work for giving a 'contact'?... the button to check for depth under the keel, or the switch in the sonar room where you can check distances to a sound contacts? Also, how will we be able to tell at what depth the mines are at?
/me thinks there will have to be a a bit of rework done on the sonar system to incorporate submerged contacts and what depth those contacts are at.
Did real life subs have that capability during the war?

FM sonar came late in the war and was somewhat flakey. It was what they used to sneak into the sea of japan.

Thanks Tater...
but you only answered part of the questions in my post. Do you know the answers to the other questions I asked?

min and max height is the range they appear randomyly inside I believe. You can also set the depth at the waypoints.
