Brief clip, but incredibly lucky/skilful pilot as he leads a Scramble take-off from a rain-soaked runway.

    Cheers, MP

I've seen that a few times. It really sucked on many levels being a pilot for luftwaffe that late in the war.
Bases bombed and strafed regularly, vastly outnumbered in the air, strong alied air superiority pushing them to fly in basically impossible weather conditions to avoid allied fighters, and on top of that, knowing very well that the war is lost.
In a chapter in "The big Show", Pierre Closterman describes a mission to intercept FW-190's that would come in to bomb and strafe allied troops imediately after sun down, knowing that allied fighters are usually returning home at that time.
It royally sucked being a LW pilot that late in the war.

On the other hand, this video reminds me of a quote from "German aces of the Russian front":

"The width of the undercarriage track also proved a distinct boon to
Eastern Front flyers. Where the Bf 109 skittered perilously, the Fw 190
ploughed its way splay-legged and tail-down through the worst surfaces
the Soviet winter could throw at it - snow, slush, rain or mud - 'like a
    bullfrog on water skis.

I'd have to agree, it must of sucked with everything and everyone kicking your arse at that time.

Now will we have to endure those conditions in COD?

During the battle of Britain? Very rarely during an exceptionally dry summer - you're more likely to get stuck in melting tarmac.

Yes I know, but we will have a FMB to create any scenario, correct?

I'd like to be able to start with poorly filtered fuel, incompletely repaired planes and planes with known defects that were not fixed till later even if they're only for the AI.
