Seriously?! There is no .exe file in the documents folder? I did a search on my PC for Settlers and I can't find out how to restart the darned thing!

I searched for Blue Byte on my pc and found the "autorun" file .... somewhere.

Would be nice to know where that is?

Check the Games section under the Start menu.

For future reference on the executable, mine was found here:

C:\Games\Ubisoft\The Settlers 7 - Paths to a Kingdom\Data\Base\_Dbg\Bin\Release

Yours is most likely in a similar folder.

Nothing there.

I have settlers 7 files in my documents folder. That's it, that's all I can find.

Not 100% sure here as I dont have the game but if you click Start > All Programs > UBISoft - is there nothing in there for launching the game?

Arte you running the retail version or demo?

Idylarke, for 64-bit its placed in C:/Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/The Settlers 7 - Paths to a Kingdom/data/Base/_Dbg/Bin/Release/Settlers7R.exe

Its under the Games Folder, for anyone who has Vista/Win7.

That's where it's installed on the demo for my WIndows 7 machine which is 64bit.

Try looking in the C:\Program Files (x86) if you have a 64bit operating system or C:\Program Files for 32 bit operating system for the Ubisoft folder and then look in there.

On the demo I had to create a shortcut from that executable on my desktop as one was not made in the start menu for some reason.

That's where it is ryan, thanks. I didn't see it before. Hopefully the executable in that folder is the one that starts the game proper.
