Can someone please tell where are the guns in P-38 void.bmp skin located? | Forums

Are they hidden? I can't find any guns on void.bmp. I wanna to make them "metallic" painted on my skin.





Help please.

The 38 is one of the planes that you can't "Paint" the guns same way with the Hellcat

Just use "Panel Finder" to locate where the guns are getting their textures. Caution...Some textures could be as small as one pixel.

Once you find where the guns get their textures, you can make your changes. It could get the textures from the background color or a small piece of the skin.

Re;, the one pixel thing...say you switched a black pixel for a white pixel (or vice versa) on a thing like guntips, where that one pixel was repeted six times, I bet it would stand out like a sore thumb on the finnished skin...just a thought.

You can also get a tool I made called the "Panel Finder Extension" tool (made it because I also couldn't find very small areas with the standard "Panel Finder") from Flying-Legends - Here.

Thank you Greg! Updated my personal P-38 skin with metal painted gun barrels. Now it looks really great. Researched trough pictures of many operative P-38s, and found that many of them had the guns in natural steel, no black painted gun barrels. So it is not incorrect to have the guns in polished steel for operative aircraft.

Kuna, used your gunpaint for updating my P-38. Pasted the guns over the skin of my "King's Lady". Wonderful. Many thanks and hope you dont mind.
