Thread: Problem to launch game based on CD/DVD emulation software | Forums

    I purchased the game yesterday and after installation I wanted to run the game but received following error

    CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game.

    I have no idea what software could be meant.

    Who can help?

    it means clone dvd or cd,alcohol and so on..

    Look to the system tray icons (next to the clock on the taskbar) and close anything related to CD/DVD (Clone CD/DVD, Nero, etc). Make sure in your Start-->Programs-->Startup there is nothing in there either.

    i think that nero will not cause problems,only clone and alcohol,i have the same problem with sims 2,and i uninstalled clone cd.

    There is no reason to unisntall a software because their game doesn't want to run with it.
    As far as a pay the game (and I always do) I consider this is my right to use any kind of other software on my computer.
    The best way it to use a no-CD patch.
