I've been thinking of getting this on amazon.I have a good windows 7. I have been hearing problems with starting it on windows 7 Buy or not or help?

I have Windows 7 and have no problems whatsoever with IL2 1946. Buy it. It is a fun game.

Starting it is no problem. Installing can be an issue, see http://forums.ubi.com/eve/foru...9310655/m/2861000908 if you have issues.

Most importantly, don't install in the default C:\Program Files folder tree. Create a new folder outside the C:\Program Files folder for your IL2 installation as Windows Vista and Win7 have security restrictions on Program Files that can prevent the game from using its configuration files properly.

Ditto, but not everyone has a separate HDD to put it on.
