Thread: Last Splinter Cell? Hope not! | Forums

I have not played in months, but when I did, it had a lot of problems, especially with the multiplayer. I did finish it and enjoyed it. Was the game short? yes. Could they have done more multiplayer missions like Pandora Tomorrow (best of them all) or Chaos theory? I never did play Double Agent online because it never worked for me and I bought it roughly a month before conviction launched and liked it a lot, infact, I don't think I even finished it.
Well, anyways, I just hope this isn't the last of the Splinter Cell series as the first few of the series were great and from Chaos theory to now, they have been getting worse gameplay. I miss those days.
I've grown up playing them starting back when I was like 7, now being 14 with a lot more money allowing me to buy other games makes me want to buy something like Modern Warfare 2 over Conviction, as it has more gameplay for me. Enough with my complaining, lol, been kind of reviewing my gaming life from 6 years of WoW to my addiction to MW2.

The older games had better things like being able to pick up bodies to hide and being forced to be stealthy and good Multiplayer. Who loved the Pandora tomorrow Multiplayer? Man, those were the days!

I loved the first 2 splinter cell games, and I liked that Ubisoft Shanghai introduced the versus mode in Pandora Tomorrow. Only problem was that it was to easy for a spy to kill a mercenary.

That made Chaos Theory very enjoyable for me. A very good balanced versus multiplayer, very interactive cooperative gameplay, and a very long singleplayer. I didn't like Double Agent because of the time based JBA Complex missions. That was just a cheap way to give the game more then 4 real maps.

Conviction is a wonderful game, and they introduced a lot of very interesting mechanics.

To get back to your question. This isn't the last Splinter Cell. They already announced Splinter Cell 6. They explained a couple of features they wanted in Conviction, but didn't had the time for, so they will implement it in the next. Features like, carrying bodies and the "abduction" move from Uncharted 2. They were also talking about improving the deniable ops, and adding new game modes. The game will be made by Ubisoft Toronto. It's a different company, but there are a lot of guys working in Toronto right now who participated in the creation of Conviction.

Splinter Cell Conviction was not a bad game (although it may have some problems) but this is my first Splinter Cell game, the graphics were incredible and the gameplay is amazing. I heard of SC6 and wished it was improved more of multiplayer and etc.
