Hi,
Well I have finally got all the software and hardware set up to make lomac movies.
I'm looking for ideas on what I should include in it, it will probably be a mixture of stuff.
Has anyone got any ideas to input.
Thanks!!
Paul

If nothing else - whynot `remix` the classics...
The Pearl Harbour scenarios.... The top gun movies. etc etc ...
Obviously original ones are better - but I download all the movies - all are worthy in some way but sometimes I think to myself that would be way cooler with different music etc.. so the only way to improve is redo it !

Bill et John or Newbie soft style movies , I like stuff with a story and voice acting, although harder to make , I am sure the rest of the community shares in my appreciation for them.

Like you, I've just upgraded my computer, gathered the tools (not FRAPS though - don't like the idea sending CC over internet, so will use ingame movie maker), but I have to finish my bathroom renos before I take a break from house repairs (another month!) to make my first attempts at movie magic. I have several ideas, but I'll share one with you -(I hope I can get all this into one post, LOL)
Scene A: Two pilots fresh out of graduation go on their first patrol - for freshness sake - lets make them Ukrainian pilots, flying Soviet (Russian?) aircraft. Picture big dramatic engine start sequence, camera pans the gauges, canopies open, taxiing to runway. I was even thinking using Pink Floyd's music here (forget the name of the song but starts off going through startup sequence for a piston-engined aircraft like a C-172 - even though we're dealing with jets lets just pretend it applies, Eh? Yep, I'm Canadian - but I digress....) Cleared for take-off, canopies come down as rollout progresses. Music here changes to something thunderous (heavy on drums/guitar/synthesizer - but preferably not Punk and definitely not Top Gun's "Danger Zone" (been done to death) - maybe something from Crystal Method's "Vegas" album - elements of "Trip Like I Do" (non-vocal version), or "High Roller" - not to play the whole song, but edited to bring out energy and thunder of one or other of these songs as the planes climb out and with quick cut scenes of flybys, high-g turns (vapour off the tips, full burners) - something to show the joy of combat flight and all that it entails.
Scene B: Music drops down to something background, but with anticipation - like the music done in the movie "Black Hawk Down" scene when the initial flight of 4 mini-birds and 4 blackhawks go in to capture members of the enemy. Pilots communication back and forth (like in "Bill et John"). AWACS cuts in, warning of mystery flight of six intermittent contacts in mountainous terrain, our two heros ordered in to investigate. AWACS gives bearings to last known position. Our boys go in, turn this way and that - no sight. One pilot "B" suggests he goes high and right (or left, whatever,) other, "A" agrees to keep altitude and heading. No contact from above. Suddenly "A" catches a glimpse of flight of 2 bandits disappearing around a mountain 10:00 and low. He peels off after them, radio's AWACS and wingman "B" of intentions and direction. He cuts across another mountain peak to cut them off, comes across the two, verifies they're enemy, and radios warning to them to vacate the airspace. Enemy flies straight, no attempt to evade but don't respond. Pilot "A" gets on their "six", activates heat-seeker to get a lock (to warn them off, etc etc). Suddenly, threat-warning comes on, missle lock and fired on from behind - 2 more bandits! Pilot "A" yells "S--T", cuts throttle, hits airbrake, inverts, chafe/flares and dives for the ground in attempt to evade nap-of-the-earth in the mountains - breaks lock with the initial attack. Starts screaming for wingman "B" and for AWACS to send assistance. "A" still has two on his tail, radar intermittently locked on him as he weaves in/out of mountains. First 2 bandits get into the fight, but don't know where "A" is, "A" sees one of them, gets the drop, fires heat seeker for a fast kill. Bandit 3 comes around mountain for head to head - goes for a gun shot and no hits, "A" flashes between bandit 3 and 4, "A" pulling back for zoom climb, max thrust. Bandit 2 pulls up, fires missle. Suddenly, bandit 2 explodes from missle shot from "B", "B" blows right through fireball, and takes on Bandits 3 and 4. "A" narrowly avoids missle. "A" has bandit 3 and 4 coming around, "B" radio's "Hard Right", allows "A" to lead Bandits 3/4 into "B" targeting envelope. "B" fires missle at 4, 4 evades, 3 cuts across "B" flight, B goes to guns and hits 3, 3 trails away smoking bad, out of the fight. (Keep in mind background music of a very tense, edge-of-the-seat kind!) Now, we see bandit 5/6 enter stage left. They separate, 5 for "A", 6 for "B", "B" comes around and goes after 5, "A" goes after 4, pulling hard gs for a gun shot, 4 evades but loses sight of the ground trying to locate "A" (camera angle from in cockpit looking back, then forward just in time to...) and impacts into a cliff. "B" warns "A" to pull up, "A" barely scrapes past the cliff,(slow motion footage here?) AWACS advises of flight of 4 friendlies coming in.
{Now I have to keep re-reading, starting to lose track of the fight!, LOL}
Scene C: Suddenly, "B" gets hit with gun shot, damaged in one engine, flamed out. "I'm hit! I'm hit" he shouts. Music cuts to "Isabel Bayrakdarian - Album "Joyous Light" - Track 1 "Where Are You, O Mother", and the motion slows way down as we see "B" struggle to escape. 6 fires missle and we track it (slow motion) as it hits hard, and a second as it too, races in remorselessly to impact an already shattered airframe. The aircraft smoke trails down, out of sight and we see a flash far below.
Now if this film gets made and this doesn't bring a tear to your eyes fellas, then you're made of sterner stuff than I am - Of course I'm listening to this track right now and I tell you, its really emotional.
Now "A" is pissed, Music cuts to "Crystal Method - Vegas", Track 5 "Coming Back". "A" does some really fancy footwork, amazing aerobatic feats (Cobra-Manoeuver, anyone?), kills bandit 6, now has bandit 5 on his tail, and he's desparate, can't shake him (5 must be the enemy 'ace'), "A" screams for help, AWACS inform our hero helps almost here. Music at this point goes to "Crystal Method"'s track 6 "Keep Hope Alive" when all of a sudden, we see a group of 4 in diamond formation flash across the nose of Bandit 5". "5" realizes he's hopelessly outnumbered and breaks contact to flee. The group of 4 break formation, go into a starburst manouever, come at "5" at all points (N,S,E,W), all target a missle which track in simultaneously for massive single explosive kill.
The Last scene, we see the rescuers form up on "A" in protective cover, Music cuts to "Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Pleasuredome" Track 4 "War (and Hide)" and they fly back to base. If you listen to the lyrics of this track, it talks about friends dying in war, among other things, and adds a final punch to the movie.
Now before you all go say - ok, now make it - I'm afraid I've only scratched the surface of playing this simulator and would take me three years to master all needed to get this out. I therefore offer it to you already excellent movie-makers out there to see if you can do it. you asked for a movie idea, here's mine. And if you willingly give me credit for the screenplay, I'm "Crazy****" not "Crazydyck" (a flaw in the registration of my username with Ubisoft.)
Thanks for Reading,

BTW, I just watched "No Fear". bsrLocsta - you have found your calling man. Fantastic movie you've done. Blew me away!
Crazy****.
PS, if anyone takes on my previous post (above), and needs the tracks indicated, let me know
Hmmm ... about 2 months and 40 viewings since last post - I guess the movie idea was so bad noone wanted to comment on it. Was this not what was being asked for?
Cheers.
Rick
any idea can be a good one if done right
btw, thanks for the compliment Crazy

Hey LOCis, you're welcome. Always a pleasure to see talent in its various forms. My brother-in-law is an artist (fine art, commercial, story-boarding for film, to name a few) and I wish I had a quarter of his ability. Seeing how something like a computer game can be taken to a different level than intended is amazing. I had an uncle who used to combine several different airplane kits to build his own "space craft" models. Neat stuff.
