The Dynamic link library X3DAUDIO1_0.DLL could not be found in the specified path.

1. Installed with DirectX from DVD, tried 1.0 version -> error
2. Patched 1.01 -> error
3. Removed
4. Installed again with DirectX from DVD, tried 1.0 version -> error
5. Patched 1.01 -> error
6. Removed DirectX checkbox
7. Reinstalled DirectX -> error
8. Downloaded DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft -> error
9. Got angry
10. Installed X3DAUDIO1_0.DLL
11. Got UBI popup:
"Protection System
To launch the application you need to install additional libraries on your computer -> Yes -> please reboot.
12. Reboot -> new error:
"ul.exe - Unable To Locate DLL X3DAUDIO1_0.DLL
The dynamic link library MFC71.DLL could not be found ..."

So now I'm missing MFC71.DLL

WHAT THE HELL!

GS_Beastie, thanks very much for the x3daudio file! can you maybe provide this MFC71.DLL also. I'd like to see how far this goes on

It means your graphics card isnt good enough. i had that problem when i used to have a Nvidia Geforce 4 MX. then i got a Nvidia 6200 with 256mb or ram.

Odd you should say that. I have the exact same error message and I DO have a half decent card. 256meg ATI 9600. It is event listed on the box as compatible.

thanks to GS_Beastie for that. After downloading that file the error changed. Then got an error about a missing d3dx9_29.dll. reinstalled directx 9.0c. still no good then i found this article http://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html

now got as far as installing the copy protection. wish me luck.

well the game now runs - occasionally. hangs on the cd check 2 times out of 5. when it fails it asks for a cd key. one on the manual wont work but if i cancel and try again it goes in. joystick still doesnt work. although it does in every other game.

wow ubi sticky this thread! this is the 81st thread about the same topic..think maybe you should clarify the dx install procedures?

also the dll's are probably hiding on your computer already. go to start,search and search for the files your looking for then just paste them to your system32 folder
