"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
cheese -> Wisconsin
I'm sure I could read between the lines,
if only the lines themselves were a little clearer...
back of beyond -> Yellowstone
If you're refering to the book that takes place in Yellowstone National Park, that's actually in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Wisconsin is one of the Great Lakes states, best known for cheese, the Green Bay Packers, and a recent political struggle over collective bargaining in the public sector.

if only the lines themselves were a little clearer...
Yellowstone -> Citrine
I actually had no idea where Wisconsin is. It sounded fairly remote. I also have never heard of the book 'Back of Beyond' either. So I am ignorant on two counts.

Citrine -> Quartz
Quartz is such a cool crystal, even if it is common. So many varieties and uses, and it's easily produced synthetically.
I'm sure I could read between the lines,
if only the lines themselves were a little clearer...
Quartz -> Hertz
-= A simle is a curve that can straighten out alot of things = "all it takes to fly is to hurl yourself to the ground and miss." [DNA] = if you don't stand for something you will fall for everything =- Krm:6538; Clmx:10210
Hertz -> sinusoid
As an electronics engineering major, I'm seeing lots of those.
