I'm about to order a new rig thru Falcon NorthWest, but before I do I'd really appreciate any comments about the following:

    ATC Aluminum Mid Tower
    Enermax Whisper 450 psu
    MS XP Pro
    Asus P4C800 - E Deluxe i875P
    Intel 4 3.2 ghz 800
    Zalman Silent p4 cpu cooler
    Corsair Twin x 1024 mb 3200 LL - PT(2/512)
    ATI Radeon 9800XT 256 mb
    HGST 7K 250 80gb 7200 rpm 8 mb cache SATA
    Sony 52x ide CD-ROM
    Audigy 2 ZS
    Creative Inspire T-2900 2.1

I'm trying to get something that will be expandable over the next two or three years.

This will run around $3000 plus a 21 inch ViewSonic CRT at $650.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

Not to steal your post Woof, but how is Falcon tech support?. I have an Alienware Area 51 that is very similar. It's a pretty good system, but tech support was almost impossible to get ahold of. They tried to be helpful, but they don't seem to have the manning needed. I had a bad stick of RAM that I ended up troubleshooting myself.

Ijust ordered this rig about fifteen minutes ago so I have no experience with their tech services, but if the sales people are anything to go by, tech is going to be great. I mentioned I wanted it for FB and they offered to install, patch and test FB if I sent them the disc. (I have an extra copy). NO extra charge for this.

    And LOL and thanks, Bearcat99.

Actually, if you are planning to host, you might consider a RAID array and maybe consider it even if you're not hosting.

I wasn't planning on Hosting right now and didn't consider RAID because of the extra cost. (This has already cost me my first-born.)
I decided on this system because of it's upgradeability.
