    wusup all,

I would just like to know, will this game be a fully awesome game with new ground breaking graphics, taking use of sms3, HDR, bump mapping, shaders, and other graphic factors like those? Today, this is a given for what gamers expect, such as new releases like Farcry and Doom3. Tahts why they're pushin out video cards like the 6800 to handle shizznit like that.

Currently, BIA seems to be just like COD. Normal models and maps just with very nice 2d flat textures plastered on them.

So far, we havnt had any WWII game that took use of graphics like those. People want awesome graphics, HARD AI, realism, and accurate historical info for these games. I dont want just another COD v2. You guz feel me?

your out of luck..WW2 games dont need/cope with pretty graphics, the frenetic gameplay of COD and its sizeable maps/many AI soliers/enemy soldiers dictate that you cant have doom3 like graphics as PCs cant cope with that much on screen at once and with that much action, devs set aside say 15MB for a map and fill it with pathnodes/characters/scripting/buildings/light...and its just impossible to add next gen graphics as well as that lot..P.S i know far cry did it but thats an exceptional engine, maybe theve leased it off them....

Dont get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE call of duty and play it WAY more then farcry, and agree that the hundreds of other AI around you in a hard core war scene ect. is awesome and ground breaking/computer requiring itself, but i dont think its about them not having the ability to add that because of this. I mean Farcry like you mentioned is renown for its HUGE maps. I mean it isnt a scripped map with clear barriers and objects to prevent you from going off it. Farcry is an ENTIRE island that you can freely go off track and roam around and bypass all the checkpoints if you want. You can fire a rocket and actually wait for minutes for it to impact at the other side of your target.

The graphics look unbelievable to me, I'm not exactly sure what technologies are used though.

as said farcry engine is prob the best around for outdoor action, you will find that in most games of the ww2 ilk that where theres many npcs on screen you find the maps to be linear, that cuts down on the chug on your pc,cod/moh/ both linear,ie the games more managable for the devs to work on if its just say 4 streets in total

I hope Valve lets other folks use the Source Engine. That thing is amazing from what I've seen so far. The graphics and physics in Counter-Strike Source are pretty amazing.
Can't wait for Day Of Defeat Source.
