Thread: Can't get Mods to load!!!!!!!!! grrr | Forums

Hi all, I am tearing out what is left of my old hairs, i found some nice new mods and cant get the .... things to load. Can anyone please help me. I am not a novice, i thought, but this has me stumped. I put the mods, or they self loaded in the mod file, then i started up Far Cry, or it started up auto with the shortcuts provided by the mods, then i selected the mod on the mod list, and it restarted. After that is my problem.

What in the heck do i do? I tried selecting the mod again as one post indicated, i got a prompt saying the mod was already selected and there it was in the start screen. But then i tried to run the game by going to campaingn and I got my old regular fary cry levels list, and when I tried to run the first one, i got it, instead of the mod. I tried Start New Game and it said it would erase all my progress and started the movie for regular far cry, three times I tried this. I cant get the mods to run on their own.
I read and re read Fabuloscoups great FAQ, I can load maps just find, but tho i got Matto
s mods to run months ago, now my system just wont start them up no how. How do you actually with the controls of the start screens in far cry launch a mod? I shall try some new sp maps instead but really would like to try a mod or two. any help much appreciated, here or PM. thanks
    Chris

in the mods you have, does the mod after its file name have any folders such as objects, scripts, music, or something like that? Some problems of loading a mod is because they in for example mods/oe/oe/objects. they have to be mods/oe/objects. I hope that can explain any problems that you have

thank you, your post gave me an idea, i checked the folders of the two mods i just loaded, one of them is the Tuesday and Ark one just released and the other is Skript_fcc with multiple maps, and they both were two folders deep in other words, i hadn't extracted the folder from the over folder, so I think they will work now, thanks much appreciates. Cheers
