Thread: Standard country roundels in the way! | Forums

  1. #1
This is a bit of a basic question, but I've downloaded a bunch of skins and I've got a problem with some of them.

Installing them isn't a problem, and the skins show up all right when I select them. But on some planes I can't get rid of the country markings the game places over the skin, no matter what country I choose.

For instance, when I choose USAAF for the P-51 the US roundels disappear and my skin is OK, but when I take the Buffalo, no matter what country is selected, its roundels always are superimposed over my custom skin.

How do I get rid of these roundels?

If you custom skin has the marking on it, you cannot get rid of it unless you rework the skin using Paint or Photoshop (not an easy task).

It's easier if you have the "layered" version of the skin, so you can delete the layer containing country markings.

Many custom skins already include an "unmarked version" to be used with the game's markings.

    Hope this helps

Turn the 'Markings' switch off in the armament page.
