Thread: Stuck: Perils Of The Coast - Chronicles of Tandria | Forums

    Hi there,

    I'm on this trading map where you can only build an Export Office as part of your expansion source for your empire.

    After supplying some Planks and Stones to previous quests, the quest that followed however is asking me to "support the tandrian guard" by sending them some priests. I don't see how that's possible considering I can't build a church...!

    Any tips?

    The first thing to know is that the quest is optional, it's not needed. But if you do it's much appreciated.

    You can't send clerics because you're not that far yet. First you have to bribe the sectors north from you including the sector with the trade post.
    As soon you have that sector you are ordered to acquire 10 horseriders over there. The best to do is wait until you upgraded the fortification at its maximum. When the fortification is finished you can buy the horsemen.
    At the tenth horseman the air gets dark and a ghost army attacks you. Your fortification is strong enough to hold them back and make them retreat. Repair the fortification immediately, because they will return in a larger number.

    After the first attack one of the ghost soldiers left the blueprints of the church and the stronghold behind. Build them swiftly. It's a good idea to build the needed services on forehand:
    - a hunter
    - a forester and a woodcutter
    - a forge
    - breweries
    - wheel makers
    - farms with piggeries (optional), grain, horses and windmills
    - bakeries
    - butcheries
    - a goldsmith
    - a bookbinder

    With that in mind you are well prepared for the next attacks, but theoretically the ghost army never gets through your fortification, for as long you repair them in time. A cleric will strengthen the fortification.

    You can't attack the sector the ghost army comes from, you have to bless them with clerics to make them stop attacking you.

    It's up to you to choose what kind of clerics you send to the Tandrian Guard.

    Solved that quest and actually finished the whole map soon after. Loved it.

    Best map story in the whole of S7. However, just as you said it's a little confusing, if slightly illogical, at first.

    i buy orginal beacuse i want to play without problemsi play this map twice and its same problem.i download latest patch,research all tehnology in game,but i cant send merchantes.This must be a bug or something????

    If you have researched the ignition mechanism on the technology board, the lighthouse on the trade board is unlocked.
    You can see it at the very top of the trade board. To take the lighthouse trading post you must first establish a trading route to one of the trading posts connected to it. Then you must send a merchant to the lighthouse. Not a hawker or a salesman - but a merchant.
    If you are keeping your traders busy with trades at the port, it will take longer to get to the lighthouse.
