SHIII Crashes | Forums

Okay i just noticed this forum lol,,hey ive got a problem with SHIII Crashing game load on the initalizing screen,just prior to gettin in game,,i get nearly loaded then BPOOM back to desk top,
I recently built a new machine the system specs are as follows:

AMD Athelon 3800+ Dual core processor
ABit KN8SLI motherboard
2 seagate barracuda 120 GB harddrives set as Drive "C" and Data "D"
Diamond extreme sound sound card
2 GB Corsair ram
Saphire raedon 256 mb Vid card X800GTO
Antec Pure power 550 Power supply
Thermaltake case with 5 fans

It ran just fine on my old machine with onboard sound and 2.4 HZ Pentium4,,Some reason it just wont go on this new one ?? Any help would be much appreciated !!!

I had this problem when I had NO soundcard.
I had just re-furbished a machine and was testing SSIII and had not installed the sound card yet. I know you have a card, but check whether or not SSIII supports it with that tool that is provided in the \support directory.
