I played the heck out of the 1st Tenchu on PSX, so when I saw this I grabbed it. I can't tell if I like it yet because I'm already annoyingly stuck...in the tutorial. The first few missions some dude tells you how to use the controls. On one of them you have to throw a star at a dude and make him fall into a well. Then you pick up a sword and break a lock on a door. The sword then disappears (goes back to the ground where you found it). Originally I picked it back up. You blow out a couple candles in this house and walk down a hall. There's a guard at the end of it. An arrow tells you to walk down the hall towards him. you pass a door... The guard spots you, and then it tells you how to sword fight. Thing is, the dude has killed me like 20 times. I started to wonder if that is what I was really supposed to do. Then I noticed that when you use "minds eye" you can see blue footsteps appear. These footsteps, I believe, show you which direction you're supposed to go. They walked down that hall, but then went into the door I was walking past...20 times. So I walk in there. Footsteps have me walk out a door on the other side. There are 3 guards in the hall, which is lit. There's some lamp in the doorway that can't be blown out, kicked over, chopped in half....No matter what I've tried, the dudes see me, I get into a sword fight, and they kill me...20 more times. What the crap? The three guys are standing together, looking in all directions. I'm sure I'm missing something easy but if that dude starts me over and tells me I won't always get a second chance....grrrr
Game is so new that I haven't found any walkthroughs yet.

the blue footprints can sometimes be misleading. go to the room at the right, and get against the wall by the door where the guards are. You should be able to do a quick kill on all three guards by following the on screen prompts.
hope that helps
