just picked up BG&E on the PSN today and couldn't play it for longer than five minutes before getting insanely frustrated with the controls.
Is there any hope of getting a refund for this or am I just screwed?

I've asked Technical Support about the refund, if they ever give me an answer I'll let you know (and I'll get one eventually, if not from Tech Support then from someone else). I seriously regret buying the HD version, it's not like it even helps the sequel, Guillemot already said XBLA/PSN sales don't really matter to them.Originally posted by jdcart27:

I have a funny feeling they sorted out the controls for the PS3/US version of game which explains the delay!
@Dom: does it completely play like the original game?
@Daroth: Did you purchase the US version?
I didn't buy the PSN version. In any case, the EU PSN version still has the bugged inverted controls.Originally posted by Soulid_Snake:

Add me to the list of angry consumers. I cannot ever recall playing a game that forces you to change the X axis when you change the Y axis. What makes it even worse is that the first part of the demo doesn't give you camera control so you don't realize the problem. Unbelievable.
So dom1999 discovered that the 'Slaughterhouse Double H Vanishing' bug still exists in the HD version Beyond Good & Evil which means he has had to restart the game.
So in light of that I've renamed this thread and stickied it to give you place to post your feedback.
Please report any issues to Ubisoft Technical Support aswell.

thanks, chris! hopefully they'll fix some of these issues... although considering the old bugs from the PoP games weren't fixed with the HD versions, i'm not really expecting much.![]()

Good point.
If they are going to do HD remakes then at least iron out the bugs.
It doesn't leave a great impression for 1st time players does it.
As a first time player of the Sly series, I was very impressed with the Sly HD Trilogy.
That was quality. Don't see why the same couldn't be achieved with this or POP.
Here's hoping that the many delays with the Splinter Cell Trilogy HD Collection means they are doing a stellar conversion.

One month after my latest update, I got an answer from Ubisoft's Technical Support again:
Here's my final reply to the BG&E HD issue:The problem you are experiencing is still being investigated. We have not received an answer regarding this issue yet. When we will, it will be published on the support section of our website.
We are sorry for the inconveniences.
I could probably keep this question open and get a reply each month that "the problem is being investigated" while in reality nobody is investigating at all. There isn't going to be a patch, this was already obvious when the PS3 version was released with the same bug. This strategy is of course guaranteed to work, eventually people stop updating the question and there: the issue is marked as resolved! And when we complain on the forums about the lack of response, we're told to contact Technical Support since complaining on the forum won't help! It's a pointless waste of time, and I wish that Ubisoft actually had the decency to tell us the truth and admit that they really don't intend to patch this at all. So you can go ahead and mark this as resolved...
