Thread: OK, my P-40 is up at mudmovers. Pics and link. | Forums

Here are some shots of my P-40M, which I finished in RNZAF colors and markings to represent Wild Cat (II). I painted this skin based on a group of photos I gathered from the net. I am aware of the several 'problems' that are more than visible on this skin, and they are mainly due to the mapping design on the P-40. I just had to compromise the best I could where these things popped up. Here are some pics of the plane:

You'll notice that the color bands aren't shown on the tail, nor is the splash of red paint under the canopy. These marks ARE in the skin you download.

For this skin, I tried to think as though I were painting and detailing a scale model. Most of the detailed parts on the skin like the cockpit, and the gear, I painted with the brush and airbrush, using a single pixel size. Of course a marked and unmarked version are included.

It was indeed a pleasure to work through this skin. I hope you have as much fun flying it as I did making it.

    Enjoy!

    Hi Taylortony, thanks for commenting.

This skin will only be on mudmovers, to keep my page there updated (even though they didn't post my plane on my page... ) My next P40 will hopefully go there also to complete the pair of new uploads I planned for mudmovers.

Afterwards I may do a few more P40s. The later skins that I release will likely go to my il2skins gallery.
