Here's everything I could gather from it
"In the latest PCGamer podcast, around the 20 minute mark, they discuss Far Cry 2 shortly. The announcer says that the game is looking great, and went so far as to say that it was hard for him not to compare some of the shooters at E3 to Far Cry 2, because Far Cry 2 was so much better. He says that the game looks beautiful and also says that the game is not in similar to Crysis. Does this mean that Far Cry 2 ditches the jungle theming? Not sure, but we will find out soon. As well, he states that the game is not a direct sequel and does not resemble Far Cry Instincts or the other console Far Cry games. Lastly, answering a question many people have been asking, he says that about 90% of the Far Cry 2 engine is new code, with the last 10% carrying over from Cry Engine."
