I was so happy to buy this game. Set up my racing seat and launched the game. Wait my G27 does nothing.

Ubisoft if you read this, we want Better wheel support I Wont play this game until then. I have a little time logged on the game from trying to get it to work but besides that i wont touch it.

that makes 2 of us. whats the point of having a wheel option if it doesnt work. i cant use my gas/brake pedals my wheel wont calibrate so i cant steer. i can however use misc keys on my wheel and shift pad.. please fix this.

I know, I buy almos every racing game and this is the first time i haven't been able to play the game with the Wheel i bough tto play these games.

If Ubisoft says they will patch it then im fine, but until then I think im done with Ubisoft. Im not one of the people to complain about there choices in DRM, but when you miss a key feature in a racing game then im out.

Use Xinput...Works ok with the G25/27.

STILL haven't got the floor pedals to work BUT steering works fine as do all the buttons.

REMEMBER,,Once you use xnput you need to go into the settings and change controls for the gamepad, NOT the wheel settings.

BECAUSE once you use xinput the game thinks your G25/27 is actually a Xbox pad.

Works fine for me and it totally transforms the game.

I found a way to make my G25 work.

My G25's Windows ID ends with C299. If you own a G27 you'll have to look in the hardware manager in Windows.

If you open the Driver San Francisco\Input\0x046d folder you'll find two folders and a file named 'description'. That file contains three lines:

    "Logitech
    0xca03 - Momo Racing Force
    0xc295 - Momo Force"

Copy and paste the 0xc295 inside the same folder and rename it 0xc299 if you have a G25.

Just like in TDU 2 you will have to enable the spring and damper strength effects in your wheel's Windows control panel (open 'devices and printers' from the start menu, right click on the controller icon and select controller properties.

In the wheel's configuration panel you check the three boxes under Overall Strength effects and tweak the settings to what you like best. You can choose a high Spring Strength Effect, it increases the overall intensity (mine's at 65%). The higher the Damper Strength Effect the heavier your wheel will be (mine's at 35%). You don't want to set the centering effect too high because it tends to cancel out the FFB effects' definition (mine's at 20%).

The good news is the game is playable at 900° (there is no deadzone and the steering is responsive enough for driving casually) although because the action is so fast-paced I lowered mine to 540° which works perfectly.

Note that I have a problem everytime I start the game: while the pedals work from the get-go, the steering doesn't respond. I usually have to alt-tab to desktop, go into Shift mode and come back to the car a few times before the steering responds. But once it starts it's fine.

Finally, I took a quick look at some files in the input folders and they allow for a good deal of FFB customization so if anyone feels like tampering with the values, see if they can optimize the FFB effects for the G25 that would be awesome.

The game is far from realistic to start with. Refusing to play it because it wont work with your wheel is stupid really.

I agree that this game is worthy of playing without a wheel but it's a racing/driving game and should support wheels(even if there is an alternative for now)...
If we only play realistic game, we are screwed ,us , wheel's owner (someone can give me the name of a REALLY REALISTIC racing/driving game?)
And believe it or not, with a wheel, it's like a new game and i take a lot of pleasure with it ,personally
Still, i really hope for an official support as the "excuse" they used is completly inaccurate...atleast so we can enjoy Force feedback.
