Thread: Im hooked on morph, is that good or bad? | Forums

i dont get to play all that much and i dont really try to get as many points as i can, nor have i paid much attention to the challenges.

But i love my morph when i play Wanted, which is all i currently play.

is this a good or bad thing? i havent ever figured out when to use disguise. I dont care for the gun. Firecrackers and smoke are what i usually use in conjunction with morph and compass precision.

I still get killed, but i enjoy morphing and being in the same crowd and watching people get lured or kill NPCs. I also get stuns off sometimes.

Anyone else like me? I cant wait to get blend, what level is that? And decoy too.

But until then, I hope my depedency on morph is a good thing. Its just something ive enjoyed and stuck with since i got it. Hopefully its not crippling more than i think it is.

Hey, if you like using it and you're getting some lures and stuns out of it, then good for you!

As long as you're not too busy hiding in morphed groups to remember that you are trying to kill someone.

I was, and still am the same. Morph is great, I have a real Morph problem :P
It's GREAT in conjunction with decoy, and while you can usually get away with getting your pursuer with just one of the two, you're almost guaranteed a stun

I'm at level 50, and still use Morph. Power Morph, to be precise - 6 NPCs changed instead of only 4.

Some players find it fairly useless, and say it doesn't work well in high-level play, because it hides you as an individual, but your group stands out.

    Works for me.

I have Blender as well, and if I join a large group, or have 2 groups nearby, even without a single lookalike when I start, they're down to a 1-in-8 chance of guessing right.

Most often, though, I Morph one crowd, then join another nearby. People rarely suspect me when I'm not in the middle of the tightly-packed group of clones.

Basically, as with anything in this game, do what works for you.

If you like Morph, and it works for you, then use it. If you're terrible with it, try something else.

I'm also a level 50 who still uses morph (power morph). It can be countered fairly easily by four abilities (templar vision, charge, firecrackers, and morph itself) and good players can work around it, but oddly enough I find that in high-level Wanted not many people are carrying the counters other than charge.

I use morph after taking the lead or getting close for a couple reasons. One is that I find it's less cooldown-sensitive than using the abilities that assist with stuns (smoke bomb, mute, charge) since you can morph your people and then use them for a long time. Also if you have three pursuers I find it easier to evade the three using morph since with smoke/mute for example I would have nothing to deal with the third pursuer.

Another reason (that gets people annoyed with me) is it slows down gameplay a bit and generally drags people toward you. Your three pursuers reach you then have to slow down and be more careful (usually) in picking a target, which draws their pursuers, and often your target, toward you.

However the real reason is Lures make me feel like a big man .

You can't spell "slaughter" without "laughter"!

You should talk to OblivionDoll...pretty sure he's a morph master. Or...she? I'm sorry Oblivion, I don't know if you're a man or a woman haha

But yeah, when you get decoy, that's fun with morph. It's not a primary class of mine, but I do use it for fun sometimes...only in wanted though, in team games morph is tough because a lot of people use templar vision. But with morph decoy together, if you recognize your pursuer and then use decoy on someone you've morphed, you'll often times get a lure out of it. And if you use someone on the opposite side fo the group (for example, your pursuer is behind your group, so you use decoy on someone in the front) then you can get a quick stun out of if you do it right as they begin to chase that person.

I like it when I'm on Manhunt and in a team of Morphers. Having every single character in an area look like us is SOD DAMNED HILARIOUS.
