I'm attempting to lan with a buddy of mine, we've both bought the game, we have seperate ip's, but when we play on the same connection (which is routered). If i'm in the game and he tries to join up it tells him "Your CD key is already being used!" Yet we have different keys, we already launched ubi and changed the internal setting from external, what can we do to be able to LAN together? help fast, please. thanks

You don't even need a key to LAN..... just make sure your LAN is NOT connected to the internet when you play. When prompted for your key... wait about 30 seconds then click ok... it will time out and you can then play.

Not being connected to the net... there is no key server to go through.
