maybe the empty fireplace from orphanage filled with the hot things in steam bath in clubhouse

I can hand-craft my own fire-effect, and that is what I am going to do.
Everything in my map is going to be original.
    No recycled models at all.

EDIT: Just got done making my second piece of furiture. A Couch... Complete with simple "Yellow-Box" collision.

Edit2: I have been working for the past 30 minutes, and I have come up with this:

I still need to make textures and model a collision hull, but i think it will turn out pretty good.

Dude, dont get me started on ugly and unoriginal. I thought you guys could handle some early, early, early pictures, and not make assumptions about the final product. I guess I was wrong...

Almost everything you see has some sort of placeholder texture applied to it. I haven't mapped out the interior layout yet, that's why there arent any rooms.

no youre so open to criticism , its not even funny man ...

you posted screens of a map in development , and if my nerdy calculations are correct *snaarrff snarrf * ,(impersonation of some of you forum tards ), then your map is a work in progress and therefore open to criticism , however unkind *snarf * lolz

Please tell me what is unoriginal? Ugly? I'm open to suggestion. Go ahead and tell me anything that you would like to see in this map. Anything at all.

Dont just tell me that it's ugly and unoriginal. Tell me why it's that way. That way i can fix whatever you dont like. See how it works now?

What you said previously was not a suggestion or help. It was an insult with sarcasm.

ah good man , you didnt fall for the hook and sinker i just left for ya ..

im just pissed you quickly copied my " estate " map and made something "housey " on me .

but yes ... unoriginal as you copied my idea !
and ugly as in too simple for the geometry , if you need something built in 3ds max , let me know , ill do it up like a pro would , nice and easy .

ill explain that abit too , i built my estate map iin 3ds max , the whole house geometry is one single brush , all extrusions from a very ugly and unoriginal " box " , so yeah that maps archetecture looks real bland and , well , ugly in fact .

not to be an a55 , but those static meshes are gawd awful

I used to model like that(autoCAD), but I quickly found that the engine has some serious occlusion culling problems when you make the map out of just one brush. Btw, how can improve upon my meshes?

I still make my brushes in autocad, but I split them up a whole lot. So i can avoid lag and other problems as such.

well a very simple and low poly brush like the one in my map ( the home ) is no problem , unless oyure referring to the "BSP Holes " you get when you export the brush with the wrong exporter ...

the sms really arent so bad though , when i look at them again , just some smoothing missing or wrong , and hardly any detail . while i know you can exture an object , i would say that an additional 1000 polys wouldnt hurt them , and would actually make them look pretty good .

    Point out the missing smoothing.
I would love to fix any problems that you see.

(and if you are pointing out the back couch cushion, it's supposed to be like that. It's actually one cushion, but the apholstering (spelling?) job makes it look like two.) I actually have a couch that looks like this rotting in my basement.

EDIT: Also, where do you see that i can improve the mesh detail? I have looked, and I really cant see where I can add any real detail.
