Thread: Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 | Forums

Ok maybe you're right. Sorry for that. But I hope it shows our disappointment is really serious and I hope gearbox/ubisoft will see their mistake.

I just read today that bia Furious 4 is just a "test" to see if they can reach a larger community of gamers. but I don't think this is the right way. Maybe you just got some new fans but you lost all the others. We want Matt!!!

"Furious Flops" and Im furious how can they get it so wrong. Im sure this cant be the same team that gave us Matt n Red and what happened to Bastogne. I will not be buying this and I hope they take the BIA name away from this game.

I think it's kind of strange that you cannont say the naughty word for bottom on a forum for a game that is trying to market itself in a trailer that shows a soldier in the process of using the restroom... or getting a hatchet in the head for that matter. But I digress...

I am not an offical poll taker, however, from reading this and other forums, I have yet to see a single BiA fan who is pleased with this announcement. Frankly I have seen a very small number of people that are interested in this game... and they are fans of Inglorious Basterds.

So how about dropping the BiA from the name and letting marketing come up with some other name that appeals to the 13 year old killing machine (who incidently can't buy M rated games)? Then you could get around to continuing Baker's story. The only reason to put BiA in the title is cash in on your BiA fanbase... and I think the response has made it quite clear that it's doing the opposite of what you would have wanted.

So, I just made an account as well. This game is is **** poor taste. Why on earth Ubi thought this was a good idea is beyond me. Yet it also seems that no one really cares. The only high up person who is giving any response is a forum moderator, and those responses aren't responses, but moderation. This is a joke. Even EvE online's developers respond to community criticism more. I hope this game falls flat on its face, which it will. It is a shame that it is going to sully the good name of Brothers in Arms though.
I mean, why make a game worth playing with an engaging story with true to life heroes dealing with what war is really like? Not to mention why make a game that actually requires skill, teamwork, and some thinking? That would obviously be too difficult.
Sorry Ubi, but you've lost another customer with your terrible decision making capabilities.

So I saw the trailer for the new BiA game tonight and was severely disappointed. However for some reason I feel like this either has to be some sort of a joke or will not develop into a BiA game because the developers see just how idiotic this all is.

I'm just glad that this new "game" wasn't released 2 and 1/2 years ago during my senior year of college when I wrote my capstone history paper about the authenticity of historical video games and how they can be used to teach history. (I used HH to argue my point and if this new game was out I'm sure my teacher would have found it and destroyed my entire argument)

Now I'm heading off to 4 month deployment come September so maybe there will be some positive developments with the real BiA by the time I make it back in January. Let's hope so.

You do not know the amount of hate you are about to recieve, XD.

Anyways, the game does look pretty good, but still does not deserve the title BiA. I am going to assume you got an account here after seeing the new game, and have not played the other ones, which I can assure you are amazing, but focus on realistic things, not a made up world where the Nazis held a huge party in a city and each side had super advanced tech and the US were able to send in super soldiers.

Watched the trailer for this last night and I have never been so disappointed, what are you guys playing at!!!?? You have totally ruined the entire BIA series, for me this was more than just a game. Sure I can sit and play any fps for hours but this was different. This was a game, for me anyway, that really sucked you in, it wasn't just a case of running about killing people, there was a whole story and real people. Hope other people know what i'm trying to say? This game could kind of take you there unlike any other game, you had to think and look out for your squads it was amazing and now? Well i'll just be another guy who won't be getting this and like other people have said, if it's the younger people they want to buy their game fine. But at 38 yrs old and been playing this series from the very start it's such a shame to see it go this way.

Do the developers ever read the comments of the fans and take note?? Hope so and maybe they'll realise they just might be out of pocket with this one, cmon guys we've been waiting yrs to see where we were going to next and you do this to us, well my money WON'T be going to you this time!

Agree with the comments thus far. Total disappointment and yet another Iconic Franchise going down the tubes(see Medal of Honor). We've seen just how well "Duke Nuke Em" has done. Total disaster.

Before yet another "disaster" comes about, it's probably early enough now for Gearbox to scrap this Project and go for what most Fans want, which of course is a continuation of the Series.

I think it's the right time. Quite frankly this "modern war" Genre seems to have reached its pinnacle. Personally if i have to shoot another "Russian" i think i'm going to puke. It's just too played out.

If they were to go back to WW2 into the Battle of the Bulge fighting battles there, while Baker "reminisces" about past Battles in Normandy and his old friends, and having us play some of those Hill 30 and EIB Battles (including the big jump), bringing back those great characters like Allen, Garnett, Desola etc with Current Console Graphics and Technology that would be awesome.

It would also mix it up so that every map isn't really a snow map.

Another words Battle of the Bulge AND Normandy Battles. So many possibilities yet we're stuck with this garbage (for which i will not purchase).

I beg the Developer to reconsider. Until then i could dream about what might have been.
