Q ships really were a WWI (I think) thing and not very common in WWII.
The US had like 5 for a short time. Only one Q ship in WWII ever met a U-boat, the U-boat won.
That U-Boat was U-123 with Reinhard Hardegen in his second (and last) Operation Drumbeat patrol.

ok thanks. Shame though as I think that they would have made a nice extra thing to watch out for.
Who needs Q-ships when you have these.....
much more effective Uboat killers.
Yes there were only a few but one of them played quite a role in ww-2.
