What's it been? Less than 3 months since release and we've already seen a 33% decrease in the retail value of a new unit?

I think it's safe to say that this game is toast. That said, I'll still keep playing, but I don't expect any form of support from Ubi.

I think it's safe to say that game is dead.

Hey, the more people that don't care about the game and leave.... I don't care. Means I play more matches, and have fun with players that care....

Damn, you brits pay tops for games. Even with that massive discount GoW2 still costs the equivalent of:

Live rates at 2009.01.03 04:01:35 UTC
    29.98 GBP = 43.5367 USD

GoW2 is still selling at the original $60 here.

Exactly. I mean, the more expensive a game is the most successful it must be - right?

Gears of War 2 sold over two milion copies the first WEEKEND, yet you can find it for 299SEK (average release price: 699SEK) and EndWar for 379SEK. Just to give it some extra, unneccessary perspectives.

Well, maybe the UK market is tapped for Gears of War 2.

And it's still selling for 45 bucks American over there, where as over here Gears of War 2 is still selling at full price.

Games in the states do not lose half of their value in 3 months because they are successful. In fact that **** never happens, ever. Christ, COD4 was selling at full price until the day COD5 came out.

Usually in the US, price is tied to success, with the best games taking well at least a year or two to hit $20 (common minimum price for games). SimCity Societies dropped to $20 within about 3 months of release because it was terrible. The fanbase hated it, it was full of bugs, and as a result, it was in the bargain bin when it was still a fresh release. The longer a game keeps its price up, the more successful it usually is.
