There I was, cheerfully playing the Roar of the Griffin 2. I'd started a team called the Gods of War and we were ranked 13th overall.
We had 23 members, and therein is the problem.
The banner on the Alliance score page said we were Rank 2, and entitled to recruit "23" members. The software allowed us to recruit 23 members, and not a member more.
So what is the problem?
Today a note is sent through the game to all of my members saying I'm cheating, and that they should harass me to stop cheating, otherwise I, or one of them, will be banned from the game.
How am I cheating?
According to the letter they'd sent, the letter I hadn't read until I got this nasty note through the game, said that Alliances cannot be larger than Rank+20 ... meaning our team was only entitled to 22 members, despite the fact that the banner across the Alliance score page says "23 members", despite the fact that the software allows me to recruit 23 members.
And because I didn't read the letter and act on it, in fact didn't have any reason to think I'd broken any rules, a note is passed around to all my team-mates accusing me of cheating.
How is it cheating when the banner says I can recruit 23 members and the software allows me to recruit 23 members?
Anyway, the long and short of it is that I quit the game rather than submit to this kind of treatment.
Despite what UBI thinks, not everyone checks their mail, and when the game says I'm entitled to 23 members and the software allows me 23 members I find it hard to accept being accused of cheating and having this accusation broadcast to my entire team.
Congratulations UBI Support for chasing away yet another paying customer. Maybe next time you'll actually familiarize yourself with the game, the banners, the software before you accuse anyone of cheating and doing so in front of his team-mates.
