Thread: Feedback: Why I quit the game ... or ... why I only subscribed for a month | Forums

There I was, cheerfully playing the Roar of the Griffin 2. I'd started a team called the Gods of War and we were ranked 13th overall.

We had 23 members, and therein is the problem.

The banner on the Alliance score page said we were Rank 2, and entitled to recruit "23" members. The software allowed us to recruit 23 members, and not a member more.

    So what is the problem?

Today a note is sent through the game to all of my members saying I'm cheating, and that they should harass me to stop cheating, otherwise I, or one of them, will be banned from the game.

    How am I cheating?

According to the letter they'd sent, the letter I hadn't read until I got this nasty note through the game, said that Alliances cannot be larger than Rank+20 ... meaning our team was only entitled to 22 members, despite the fact that the banner across the Alliance score page says "23 members", despite the fact that the software allows me to recruit 23 members.

And because I didn't read the letter and act on it, in fact didn't have any reason to think I'd broken any rules, a note is passed around to all my team-mates accusing me of cheating.

How is it cheating when the banner says I can recruit 23 members and the software allows me to recruit 23 members?

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I quit the game rather than submit to this kind of treatment.

Despite what UBI thinks, not everyone checks their mail, and when the game says I'm entitled to 23 members and the software allows me 23 members I find it hard to accept being accused of cheating and having this accusation broadcast to my entire team.

Congratulations UBI Support for chasing away yet another paying customer. Maybe next time you'll actually familiarize yourself with the game, the banners, the software before you accuse anyone of cheating and doing so in front of his team-mates.

having spoken with one of the players of my old team I learned that within 24 hours five members cancelled their subscriptions and quit the game. Others have announced they too were cancelling their subscriptions.

From the latest note from UBI Support I've learned this issue is actually a software bug ... one I was unaware of. Seems UBI would rather harass paying customers and treat them like cheaters than fix their own software bugs.

Whomever is responsible for this business policy is an idiot.

Once again, thanks UBI for showing the 23 players on my team how you want to treat your subscribers.

Expect much repeat business treating your paying customers as if they deliberately cheat?

Maybe you should play on other servers, I know that rule isn't applied on the UK Dragon Legacy Season 2 servers.

The rule differences on some servers have caught out other players who are used to the rules elsewhere when joining a new world.

Perhaps the Game Masters of the various servers should get together, to work out universal rules to avoid confusion over what is and isn't legal in all game worlds.

I hope the censor is working, here goes...

I am a subscriber of Heroes Kingdoms too, and I think that the management of the game has gone to ****. There is only ONE Ubi employee that moderates the game, and I believe he/she is European, meaning the US division of Ubisoft isn't doing **** for the game.

There are too many worlds, the forums are too disorganized, there is little to no company leadership from Ubisoft, and there is no opportunity for players to get involved in leading the game.

For those that do cheat by creating multiple accounts, Ubisoft NEEDS to ban their IPs and limit their accounts to 1 per IP address unless there are more than 1 players per household that play the game. In this case Ubisoft needs to let them ask for special permissions to play with 2 or more accounts.

And about the player thing - if it lets you have 23 players in your alliance, and that function is built into the game, you are not ****ing cheating you are just playing the game!

Ubisoft, get your act together on Heroes Kingdoms. The longer it remains troubled, the more players you will lose to other competing games. Stop making new editions to the game until you have worked out all of the bugs and changed the game based on player suggestions and feedback.

I presume you're referring to the European Game Master Sawinaya, the OP is complaining about the US servers, which have much stricter interpretation of the rules, and more active staff to enforce the rules.

The Game Master there, ChemZero, has posted the rules for the US games quite prominently on the forums, so if people take the time to look, they'll see what is and isn't allowed on the US servers.

Rule #4 is the one that concerns the OP.
